Inconcievable confirms Ben Elton as one of Britain’s most significant, entertaining and provocative writers.īen Elton was born on, in Catford, South London. What Sam and Lucy are about to go through is absolutely inconceivable. And given that the average IVF cycle has about a one in five chance of going into full production, Lucy’s chances of getting what she wants are considerably better than Sam’s. The problem is that both their efforts seem to be unfruitful. I highly recommend it to all lovers of fiction and humor.

This book stands out from all the books I have read by the author and is an easy go-to when I seem to be experiencing a reading slump. Ben Elton is one of the few authors I know who can effortlessly write about very sensitive and relevant subjects in such a way that the reader feels comfortable and even finds humor in reading some of life’s harshest realities.

However, I was pleasantly surprised at how it was so well written with great wit that I felt so comfortable reading the story. I went into reading this book with the thought that I was going into a heavy themed book based on the topic which borders around infertility. This book was my first introduction to Ben Elton’s world of fantastic reads. I will be featuring a new favorite every week and I hope you will be interested to read and enjoy some as I have. This is a weekly feature of unforgettable books I have read in times past which have not had the chance to be reviewed on this blog as I read them a long time ago.
